Activity Log
The Activity Log is the chronological record of all actions performed in your company on CADrivit: who created a quote, updated a client, issued a DoP, changed settings and much more. It lets you track who did what and when — useful for internal oversight and in the event of disputes or audits.
Each company sees only its own logs. It is not possible to access the logs of other CADrivit customers.
How to access
- Menu: Activity Log (in the main navigation bar)
- Address:
/logs - Who can use it: Administrator and User
Interface
Filters
Three controls are available at the top of the page:
- Search field — filters log entries by keyword in the message text or entity identifier.
- Action filter — drop-down menu listing all actions present in the loaded logs (e.g.
quote.created,client.updated,invoice.paid). SelectAll actionsto clear the filter. - Company filter — visible but not editable by standard users: always shows only the current company's logs. It can be used only by platform administrators.
Filters apply immediately without requiring confirmation.
Log list
Each log entry shows:
- Action — label of the operation performed (e.g.
quote.created), in a badge. - Entity — type of object involved (e.g.
Quote,Client,Invoice) and its identifier, in a second badge. - Date and time — precise timestamp of the operation.
- Message — human-readable description of the action.
- User — email address and role of the user who performed the operation.
- Additional details — where available, the technical data of the action are shown in an expandable block (useful for checking the values that were changed).
Real-time updates
The page updates automatically when new events are recorded, without needing to reload.
Operations
Searching for a specific action
- Type a keyword in the search field (e.g. a client name, a quote reference, an action type).
- The list filters as you type.
- To clear the search, delete the text from the field.
Filtering by action type
- Open the Action drop-down menu.
- Select the action you are interested in (e.g.
invoice.paid). - The list shows only matching entries.
- To see everything again, select
All actions.
Combining filters
The search and action filters apply simultaneously. For example, you can search for all invoice.paid entries that mention a specific client name.
Status and messages
| Situation | What you see |
|---|---|
| No logs found or filters return no results | Icon and empty state message in the centre of the page |
| Loading in progress | Animated placeholder rows |
| New events arriving | The list updates automatically |
Notes and limits
- The list loads the most recent 250 log entries in reverse chronological order (newest first). For older events use the filters to narrow the search.
- Logs are read-only: no user can edit or delete them.
- The User column shows the email and role of the person who performed the action. If the action was performed by an automated system process, the user field may show as not available.
- Technical details (the block at the bottom of each entry) show the actual values recorded at the time of the action — useful for comparing the state before and after a change.
