Inventory
The Inventory is CADrivit's central catalogue: it collects everything you can sell or use in quotes. Each item created here is immediately available in the Quote Builder without having to re-enter data.
How to access
- Menu: "Inventory" in the left navigation bar
- Address:
/inventory - Who can use it: Administrator and User (creation and editing require the Administrator role)
Interface
The page is organised into five horizontal tabs:
| Tab | Content |
|---|---|
| Profiles | Window frame templates (window, door-window, sliding, roller shutter, blind, mosquito net, entrance door). They define material, prices and technical specifications. |
| Accessories | Roller shutters, blinds, mosquito nets, entrance doors and shutters sold as complements to the window frame. |
| Generic Articles | Free-form entries (labour, expenses, components) not tied to a specific profile. |
| Installers | Registry of UNI 11673-2 certified installers that can be associated with quotes that include certified installation. |
| Costs | Global pricing settings: glass compositions, glass feature surcharges, standard and certified installation costs, transport. |
Common operations
- Search and filter: each tab has a text search bar and, where applicable, filters by type and material.
- Sort: use the "Sort" menu to change the list order (name, price, creation date, etc.).
- Import/Export Administrator: the Profiles and Accessories tabs provide buttons to export the catalogue (XLSX or JSON) and import from a file. The "Browse library" button opens the verified CADrivit library with pre-configured profiles and accessories ready to import.
- Delete with undo: after confirming the deletion of an item, a notification with an "Undo" button appears for 5 seconds; once that time expires, the deletion is permanent.
Notes and limits
- Prices entered here are selling prices. The "Purchase cost" field is optional and only visible inside the management system: it is used solely to calculate the profit margin and never appears in documents sent to the customer.
- Changes to the catalogue do not propagate retroactively to already-confirmed quotes: row prices are frozen at the time of creation.
