Glossary

Company (Tenant)

Your manufacturing business. Each company has its own users, customers, data, and subscription. If you manage multiple businesses, each is a separate company.

Administrator

The user who manages the company: invites colleagues, pays the subscription, configures settings, and accesses analytics. Usually the owner or manager.

User

A colleague within the company. Can create quotes, orders, and manage customers, but cannot invite other users or change billing settings.

Quote

A commercial proposal you send to your customer: includes the technical drawing of the window/door, dimensions, accessories, description, and price. Can be accepted (becoming an order) or rejected.

Order

A quote that your customer has accepted and confirmed. Becomes the production document: from here you generate the cutting plan, bill of materials, and warehouse documents.

Customer

The company or person you sell to (the end buyer, not the consumer). Each customer has a record with address, contacts, and history of quotes and orders.

Profile (Product Template)

A preconfigured model of a window, door, rolling shutter, or blind. Contains the opening type, frame, standard dimensions, and preset accessories. Speeds up creation of similar quotes.

Window Manufacturer

You: the producer of windows, doors, rolling shutters, blinds, and mosquito nets. CADrivit is built for you.

Rolling Shutter

A steel or aluminum blind with horizontal slats, controlled by a crank or motorized. Protects from sun and theft.

Blind

An opening with horizontal slats, hinged or sliding. Used for darkening and ventilation while maintaining privacy and sun protection.

Mosquito Net

A fine mesh that prevents insects from entering. Can be fixed, sliding, roller, or pleated. Typically applied to windows and doors.

Entry Door

The main access door to buildings or homes. Can be reinforced, wooden, aluminum, or with glass panels; one of the products CADrivit manages.

Bill of Materials (BOM)

The complete list of materials and components needed to produce a quote: frames, glass, accessories, hinges, screws, sealants. CADrivit generates it automatically from the order.

Cutting Plan

The document that tells the warehouse how to cut materials (glass, aluminum, etc.) to produce the order. CADrivit exports it as a ready-to-print PDF.

DoP (Declaration of Performance)

Certification that the product (window, door, blind) meets European construction and safety regulations. Must accompany every sale.

Free Trial

Your first 14 days of CADrivit at no cost and without a credit card. You have full access: customers, quotes, orders, everything. After 14 days, if you don't pay, you enter read-only mode.

Read-Only Mode

When your trial has expired and you haven't paid yet. You can see your data, but cannot create, modify, or delete customers, quotes, and orders. It's unlocked as soon as payment is confirmed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the 14-day free trial work?

When you sign up, you get 14 days of full access to CADrivit, at no cost and without a credit card. You can create customers, quotes, orders, manage your warehouse, and use all features. After 14 days, you can pay to continue: your subscription starts on day 15.

What happens when the free trial expires?

If you don't pay within 14 days, your company enters read-only mode. Your data (customers, quotes, orders) remains visible, but you cannot create, modify, or delete anything. As soon as you pay your invoice, everything returns to normal and you regain full access.

How do I pay?

Self-service payment is made with a credit or debit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe Checkout. Payment is instant and secure. We do not accept cheques, bank transfers, or other methods through the online portal.

For special cases (cash payments or banks not supported by Stripe), a platform Administrator can manually record a payment on the account.

Common question

If you change your plan (from basic to professional, for example), the price difference is charged or refunded proportionally based on the remaining days in your current subscription.

How do I invite a colleague to my company?

Only the Administrator can invite colleagues. Go to Menu > Team, click Invite User, enter your colleague's email, and send. Your colleague receives an email with a link to accept the invite. Once accepted, they access all company history (customers, quotes, orders) and can start working.

How do I change the app language?

In the top right corner, next to your name, there's an Account menu. Click Preferences and choose your language: Italian, English, or Albanian. The app reloads instantly in the new language.

How do I reset my password?

On the login page, click Forgot your password?. Enter your email and you'll receive a link via email. Click the link and choose a new password. The link expires after 1 hour for security reasons.

What's the difference between a quote and an order?

  • Quote: a proposal you send to your customer. Not yet a confirmed order. You can create many quotes for the same customer and they choose which to accept.
  • Order: a quote that your customer has accepted and confirmed. Becomes the official production document: from here you generate the cutting plan and bill of materials.

In practice: quote = commercial proposal, order = confirmed job.

How do I export a PDF of a quote or order?

Open the quote or order. In the top right corner you'll find the Export PDF button (or Download or a download icon). Click and the PDF downloads to your computer. It contains the technical drawing, dimensions, accessories, description, and price.

Who can view Analytics (statistics)?

Only the Administrator. Analytics show total revenue, number of orders, most active customers, and other company data. Regular users do not have access to this section.

Data Protection

Analytics are restricted to the company manager for reasons of privacy and protection of company data.
