PDF Theme
The PDF Theme tab controls the visual appearance and additional content of all exported PDF quotes. It includes the primary colour, layout, legal footer, bank details, QR code, watermark, and custom footer (white label).
How to access

Some options in this tab are experimental (Beta). Behaviour may vary. If you notice any issues, use the "Report a problem" button in the banner at the top of the tab.
Interface
The tab contains eight independent cards, described below in order of appearance.
Card: Brand primary colour
Hexadecimal colour picker (#rrggbb) that sets the main colour in PDFs (headings, decorative lines). Consists of:
- Colour panel — clicking opens the browser's native colour picker.
- Hex text field — allows manual entry of the HEX code (e.g.
#1a5c9e); the border turns red if the entered value is not a valid HEX.
Card: VAT description
Configures how VAT is displayed in the PDF body. Three selectable options:

| Flat-rate scheme | Preferential tax regimes — the VAT exemption notice required by flat-rate regulations is shown |

Card: Quote layout
Choice of product row format in the PDF:

Card: Legal footer
On/off toggle to show or hide the legal footer in the PDF (company legal data: business name, VAT number, REA, etc.). When active, data is automatically pulled from the Company tab.
Card: Bank details
Two controls:
- Toggle — enables or disables the "Bank details" section in the PDF.
- Bank notes — text field (max 300 characters) for adding payment instructions or references to include in the bank transfer description.
IBAN and BIC are pulled from the Company tab.
Card: QR code
- Toggle — enables or disables the QR code in the PDF.
- QR code URL — URL field (visible only when the QR is active) specifying the address the code points to (e.g. website, payment page). Accepts any valid URL.
Card: Watermark
Diagonal semi-transparent stamp overlaid on PDF pages.
- Toggle — enables or disables the watermark.
When active, additional controls appear:

Card: Custom footer (White label)
Allows replacing the default "Generated with CADrivit" footer with custom company text.
This feature is available only on the Business plan or higher. If the current plan does not include it, the field is visible but locked with a message indicating the required plan.

"Reset to defaults" button
At the bottom of the tab, the "Reset to defaults" link resets the following PDF tab options to factory values:
- Primary colour: removed
- VAT description: Standard
- Legal footer: disabled
- Bank details: disabled, bank notes: empty
- QR code: disabled, URL: empty
- Watermark: disabled
- Custom footer: empty
The Quote layout (Detailed / Schedule) is not changed by the "Reset to defaults" button. To change the layout, select it manually in the relevant card.
Operations
Changing the primary colour
- Click the coloured square next to the HEX field to open the picker.
- Choose a colour or type the HEX code directly in the text field.
- The save is automatic after 1.5 seconds.
Enabling bank details in the PDF
- Enable the toggle in the "Bank details" card.
- Ensure IBAN and BIC are filled in on the Company tab.
- Optionally add text in the bank notes field.
Adding a watermark
- Enable the toggle in the "Watermark" card.
- Choose a preset or type custom text.
- Adjust colour and opacity as needed.
Resetting to defaults
- Click "Reset to defaults" at the bottom of the tab.
- All PDF settings are immediately cleared (auto-saved).
States and messages
- "Beta" badge (orange) at the top of the tab: the feature is experimental.
- Business plan required: the custom footer field appears locked if the plan does not include it.
- Invalid HEX field: red border on the colour field if the value is not a valid 6-digit HEX.
- "Saved at HH:MM" in the header: save completed successfully.
Notes and limits
- Changes to the PDF tab apply only to quotes exported after saving; already-generated PDFs are not updated.
- The QR code inserts an image in the document: verify the URL is reachable by your clients.
- The watermark text is printed diagonally on every PDF page; use short text for best readability.
