Costs

The Costs tab centralises all the pricing settings that CADrivit's calculation engine uses to build a quote total: glass composition prices, glass feature surcharges, standard and certified installation costs, transport and special kits.

How to access

  • Menu: Inventory → Costs tab
  • Address: /inventory then select the "Costs" tab
  • Who can use it: Administrator — the tab is visible to all, but only an administrator can save changes

Interface

The tab is divided into three collapsible sections grouped in three cards:

  1. Glass — base prices per composition and feature surcharges
  2. Installation — standard and certified UNI 11673 installation costs
  3. Transport & extras — per-item transport cost and automatic surcharges

At the bottom of the page: Save cost settings button.

Glass section

Base price per composition (€/m²)

Glass base prices are defined per composition (glazing stack identified by its code, e.g. 4/16/4). Each composition has a separately configurable numeric €/m² field. The coloured badge shows how many compositions already have a price set.

note

The calculation engine uses the exact value configured for each composition selected in the quote. If a composition has a price of 0, the glass will not contribute to the quote total for that specific glazing stack.

Glass feature surcharges (€/m² additive)

These surcharges are added to the base composition price when the user selects the corresponding feature in the quote. The group is collapsible.

FieldDescription
Low-E (Low Emissivity)Coating to reduce thermal losses (lower Ug value).
Argon gasArgon-filled cavity instead of air — improves thermal and acoustic insulation.
Warm spacerLow-conductivity edge spacer — reduces condensation and thermal bridges at the glazing perimeter.
Satin glassAcid-etched / sand-blasted — privacy with light transmission.
Selective glassSolar control — reduces summer heat gain while maintaining transparency.
Laminated glassPanes bonded with PVB film (safety + acoustics).
Security glassReinforced laminated with burglar-resistance class (P2A–P5A).
Tempered glassHeat-treated for greater strength; breaks into small blunt granules.

Installation section

Standard installation costs (€/unit)

Installation costs applied per unit when standard installation is selected in the quote.

Certified installation UNI 11673 costs (€/unit)

Alternative (typically higher) rates applied when Certified installation is selected in the quote. Same window types as standard installation.

Additional fieldDescription
Require mandatory installer selection for certified installationCheckbox. If enabled, operators must select an installer from the registry before saving a quote with certified installation.
tip

UNI 11673-2:2019 certified installation can be documented for tax incentives (Ecobonus, Thermal Account, CasaClima). Set separate rates to distinguish it from standard installation.

Transport & extras section

Transport

FieldDescription
Transport (€/item)Fixed cost automatically added to each item in the order to cover transport and delivery. If 0, no transport charge is applied.

Automatic surcharges (€/window)

Per-unit costs applied automatically based on the window configuration.

FieldDescription
Lift-and-slide kitSliding mechanism kit applied automatically to each lift-and-slide / translating sash.
Folding kitBifold (concertina) kit applied automatically to each folding sash.

Operations

Update costs

  1. Edit the desired numeric values in the Glass, Installation or Transport sections.
  2. Click Save cost settings at the bottom of the page.
  3. A "Settings saved" confirmation notification appears.

Collapsible groups (compositions by structure, glass features, installation costs) can be opened and closed individually by clicking on the group header.

States and messages

  • Settings saved: successful save confirmation.
  • Save error: connectivity or validation issue — try again.
  • N with price: badge on the group heading showing how many compositions have a price greater than 0.

Notes and limits

  • Costs configured here apply to all future quotes; already-created quotes keep the prices calculated at the time of their last modification.
  • A cost set to 0 means "do not charge this item" — the field is not simply ignored.
  • Glass feature surcharges are additive: the final price is the sum of the base composition price plus all the surcharges of the selected features.
